Dataset Information

Site ID: BR-Ma2; BR-Sa1

Site Name: Manaus - ZF2 K34; Santarem - K67

Variables: Leaf gas exchange; Leaf temperature; Leaf water potential; Sapflow; Solar Radiation

Date Range: July 1, 2015 - Dec. 1, 2017

Description: This data package contains data from ICT sap flow sensors, leaf temperature (Infrared Sensors), leaf gas exchange system (Li-cor 6400XT), leaf water potential and leaf thermocouples sensors used in the paper Gimenez et al., 2019 Species-Specific Shifts in Diurnal Sap Velocity Dynamics and Hysteretic Behavior of Ecophysiological Variables During the 2015–2016 El Niño Event in the Amazon Forest. A full citation is available in the dataset references field below. Data was collected from two NGEE Tropics project sites in the Amazon, one in Manaus, Brazil (BR-Ma2) and one in Santarem, Brazil (BR-Sa1). Included in the attached zip file are three Excel metadata files, PDF manuals for sensors and equipment used in data collection, TIF files with figures from Gimenez et al. 2019, and data in CSV file format separated into five folders by data variable.

QA/QC: Provisional QA-QC

Methods Description: Data collection methods can be found in the related publication. The QA/QC method was used following the protocols previously described by Christianson et al. (2017) - A metadata reporting framework (FRAMES) for synthesis of ecohydrological observations (doi: 10.1016/j.ecoinf.2017.06.002).

Access Level: Public

Originating Institution(s): Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI); National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA); Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL); University of California; Embrapa Amazônia Oriental;

Sponsor Organization(s): This material is based upon work supported as part of the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiments-Tropics (NGEE-Tropics), as part of DOE’s Terrestrial Ecosystem Science Program. Additional funding for this research was provided by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES).
